This lithograph, MOOSE OPERA, includes one of Pachter’s best-known artwork motifs – the Canadian moose. It was created at Open Studio in 1974 and shows two of these iconic creatures framed as if on a stage, with dramatic areas of spotlight, shadow, and expressive mark-making.

This edition is signed as the first of two ‘Open Studio Proofs’ assigned to the Open Studio print archive and is now released for sale. The original numbered edition size of this print was an edition of 50. This lithograph was printed with Don Holman, the then-Director of Lithography, whose embossed artist chop can be seen in the bottom right corner of the paper.
